WSOY Awards ceremony 2011
November 11
Events Concept stages the 2011 World Sailor of the Year Awards ceremony in Puerto Rico.
This event is the highest award a sailor can receive in recognition of his/her outstanding achievements by the world of sailing. The Awards are presented every November to one male and one female winner during the international sailing Federation’s annual conference.
As the 500 guests entered old San Juan’s historic Ballaja barracks they discovered a specially arranged setting for a unique gala dinner served by local chef Mario Ferro from the Caribe Hilton, a live 30 minute production showcasing the awards ceremony followed with the performance of local folkloric group “Gíbaro de Puerto Rico”.
Since 2006, the Events Concept team has produced the event in Korea, Greece, Spain, Portugal and Helsinki, inducing each time a local flavor with the support of local suppliers and partners.
